The San Mateo County Transportation Authority is announcing an upcoming Call for Projects for the Measure A Highway Program. The goal of the program is to fund highway and roadway projects which reduce congestion and improve safety on commute corridors.
Up to $125 million may be made available to fund projects that best meet the highway selection and evaluation criteria contained in the Measure A Strategic Plan 2014-2019. The funds are collected as part of the Measure A transportation program, which was reauthorized by San Mateo County voters in 2004 to fund transit, shuttle, paratransit and road and highway projects throughout the county.
An application workshop for the TA Highway Program will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 11, inside the second floor auditorium of the San Mateo County Transit District headquarters, located at 1250 San Carlos Ave., in San Carlos.
During the workshop, TA staff will provide an overview of the Highway Program Call for Projects covering the following material: program guidelines, evaluation criteria, and the application form. There will be a question and answer session afterward during which potential applicants can inquire about project eligibility and other specific questions.
