Utilizing the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)
Pavement Management System as a tool for prioritizing street resurfacing projects over
the last 15 years, virtually every street in the city (total mileage of more than 49
miles) has been resurfaced with Measure A funds. As a result, Foster City has one of
the highest pavement condition ratings in the MTC area.
Foster City has historically funded its Pavement Management Program with a combination of Measure A and gas tax funds. With the loss of gas tax funding from the state, Foster City will use Measure A funds as the singular source of funding for the 5-year Capital Improvement Program. |
