The following is a list of city of Menlo Park projects (completed and in progress) funded by the current Measure A:

Completed Projects:

  • Middle Avenue Corridor Study - design and implementation of traffic calming alternatives and pedestrian/bicycle safety enhancements.
  • Oak Knoll School Traffic Safety and Management Plan - design and implementation of a comprehensive Safe Route to School Plan for Oak Knoll School.
  • Middle Cambridge RxR Bike Undercrossing - preliminary design for a new bike undercrossing and path under the railroad tracks in the vicinity of Burgess Park, connecting Alma Street to El Camino Real.
  • Citywide Traffic Signal Bicycle Detection Upgrade - upgrade to the traffic signals throughout the City to provide detection for bicycles.
  • Santa Cruz Corridor Study - preliminary engineering design to enhance safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.
  • Woodland Avenue Traffic Management Plan - design and implementation of traffic calming measures in this residential neighborhood.
  • Willow Place Bicycle Bridge - design and replacement of a deteriorated wooden bridge with a pre-fabricated steel bridge.
Projects in Progress:
  • Shuttle Mitigation Fee - development of mitigation fee for shuttle transportation in order to support the operation of existing and future shuttle services.
  • Shuttle Study Implementation - expansion of existing shuttle services, addition of new services, analysis of various survey results and collaboration with neighboring agencies.
  • Menlo Avenue/University Drive Intersection Improvements - design and implementation of intersection modifications to improve safety.
  • Railroad Grade Separation - update existing study to determine impacts and cost of building grade separations at Ravenswood, Oak Grove, Glenwood and Encinal.
  • Sand Hill Road Safety Study - design and implementation of bicycle safety improvements such as enhanced bike lanes, dynamic speed display signs and reduction in speed limits.
  • Comprehensive Bicycle Plan - establishment of a comprehensive bicycle development plan to provide vision, strategies and action elements for improvement of bicycle traffic in Menlo Park.
  • Willow Road Pre-emption System - design and implement a system to accommodate emergency vehicles along this corridor.
  • Bay Trail Feasibility Study - identify a feasible alignment for a new trail segment that will connect existing Bay Trail in the Ravenswood Open Space Preserve to Bay Trail along Bayfront Expressway, near Dumbarton Bridge.
  • Neighborhood Traffic Management Program - creation of a formal process to be used citywide to verify neighborhood level traffic calming needs, coordinate the plan with affected residents, and establish a set of acceptable improvement measures.
  • Citywide Street Resurfacing Program - resurfacing of City streets in need of repair.
