University Ave. to SM/SC County Line

This project is for the preparation of the project study report (PSR), project report (PR) and the environmental documents for the construction of the northbound and southbound auxiliary lanes within the project limits of University Avenue to the San Mateo/Santa Clara County line. The project scope is anticipated to include detailed design and construction at a later date as the Board authorizes future budget. The contract for the preparation of the PSR, PR and the environmental document was awarded to Mark Thomas & Co. The mapping work is complete. The draft report was submitted to Caltrans for review. The consultant is responding to comments. The project limit will extend to the Embarcadero in Santa Clara County. A cooperative agreement with VTA will be needed. The Henderson overcrossing will be developed as phase 1 of this project. Future activities include responding to comments on the draft report, preparing the final report and setting up a meeting with VTA, the Santa Clara Valley Water District and Caltrans Headquarters for the structural review of the San Francisquito Creek Bridge.
