This project is for the preparation of the project
study report (PSR), project report (PR) and the environmental documents
for the following work: (A) extending route 84 north on a new
alignment from Marsh Road to Woodside Road/Seaport Boulevard, (B)
widening Woodside Road from Broadway to El Camino Real and (C)
reconstructing Route 84/Woodside Rd. I.C. The purpose of the project is to alleviate existing
and projected traffic congestion, provide a parallel reliever route for
Route 101 between Marsh Rd. and Woodside Rd. and improve traffic
operations at the intersection with Marsh Rd./Rte. 84 and with
Woodside Rd./Seaport Blvd. The project scope is anticipated to
include detailed design and construction at a later date as the Board
authorizes future budget.
Progress: Project A: PSR approved. Project on hold. Project B: PS&E nearing 95% submittal Project C: PSR approved. Contract for PR/ED to start 2/02 PR/ED for 84/101 interchange will not include the Rte. 84 Extension project, but will not preclude adding the extension to the system in the future. The Board will need to authorize additional funding for future project activities. |
