D Street (Daly City) 

On-Ramp and Overcrossing

After three years of construction, this project was completed in August 1994. A SamTrans bus with local officials aboard burst through a banner on Aug. 31, officially opening the D Street on-ramp and overcrossing to traffic. The project was the first major Measure A project to be completed.

The project created a new southbound on-ramp and overcrossing to Interstate 280 at D Street. The improvement provides key access from the SamTrans Park and Ride lot located at Junipero Serra Boulevard and D Street in Daly City. The project eventually accommodated traffic associated with the nearby Colma BART Station which opened in 1995.

The Transportation Authority financed the majority of the project.
