This project is for the detailed design for the Dumbarton
corridor trestle replacement, new track structure, new signals and any other
modifications or upgrades that will be required.
The PCJPB accepted the request to become the corridor service operator when funds are identified for this service. Santa Clara and Alameda counties have programmed funding contribution for capital improvements. Currently seeking additional project funding and participation from other governmental agencies. The proposed BART extension to San Jose and Santa Clara may effect the planning of the Dumbarton express. Future activities include initiation of the major detailed engineering effort to rehabilitate the corridor. |
