Jefferson Avenue, Redwood City

This project is for the grade separation of Jefferson Avenue, between Middlefield Road & Franklin Street, in Redwood City, from the existing railroad tracks by creating a railroad bridge structure that accommodates traffic underneath.  All existing utilities will also be relocated and a new storm drain lift station will be constructed.  This project is sponsored by the City of Redwood City.

This project is complete pending city litigation.  The city continues to research and prepare for a case against parties responsible for the soil contamination.

The city has filed suit to recover clean up costs from the parties responsible for soil contamination.

Future activities include settling the pending law suit, preparing final accounting of project costs and the project close out.
