WHAT:
The Oyster Point/101 Interchange will be dedicated at a ceremony marking the
end of the 10-year project. The final phase of the construction project,
southbound ramps connecting Bayshore Boulevard to 101, was recently
completed.
The complex project has alleviated highway congestion while providing a
direct connection to South San Francisco’s fast-growing biotechnology and
commercial area.
The Oyster Point interchange improvements are the result of a partnership
between South San Francisco and the San Mateo County Transportation
Authority, which provided more than $37.4 million in Measure A half-cent
sales tax funding for the improvements.
