The San Mateo County Transportation Authority staff has postponed the community meetings originally scheduled for Oct. 1, 9, 11 and 16. The meetings, which will provide information and solicit public comment on the TA’s strategic plan, will be held early next year. In the interim, the TA will seek input from local city councils.
The strategic plan will establish a process for prioritizing projects and plans identified in Measure A.
The TA was established in 1988 to administer the proceeds from the voter-approved half-cent Measure A sales tax to implement transportation improvements throughout San Mateo County. In 2004, voters reauthorized a 25-year extension of the program that will take effect in 2009.
