Transportation Authority Board of Directors Welcomes New Members

Noelia Corzo and Ray Mueller are the two newest members to join the San Mateo County Transportation Authority Board of Directors. Corzo and Mueller will represent the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on the board.

Corzo and Mueller are currently members of the Board of Supervisors serving Districts 2 and 3, respectively.

The TA Board is the governing body of the TA, which administers funding for transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the County. The seven-member board is composed of one member from the Northern, Central and Southern Judicial Cities and one member from Cities-at-Large, with those members being selected by the San Mateo County City Selection Committee. The Board also has two members of the Board of Supervisors, and one member from the SamTrans Board.

About the Transportation Authority (TA): Created to administer Measure A, San Mateo County’s ½ cent sales tax, the TA provides funding for transportation projects and programs in San Mateo County. In 2004, more than 75 percent of San Mateo County voters reauthorize Measure A for an additional 25 years. In 2018, voters approved Measure W, the San Mateo County Congestion Relief Plan an additional ½ cent sales tax. The TA will administer half the revenue of Measure W and the San Mateo County Transit District will administer the other half to fund and implement the Congestion Relief Plan.
