Pacifica to Hold Public Meeting Feb. 19 on San Pedro Creek Bridge Replacement Project

Pacifica residents and other affected citizens are invited to attend a public information meeting on the Route 1 San Pedro Creek Bridge Replacement and Creek Widening Project.

On Wednesday, Feb. 19, officials will convene a meeting at the Pacifica Community Center auditorium to discuss details of the project. The meeting will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the center, which is located at 540 Crespi Drive in Pacifica.

The goal of the project is to replace the current bridge over San Pedro Creek along Route 1 on the same alignment, provide for a multi-purpose path along its eastern side and widen San Pedro Creek to manage capacity in the event of a 100-year storm. The work will complete the US Army Corps of Engineers Flood Control Project for lower Linda Mar and Pedro Point.

The undertaking, requested by the City of Pacifica, will be managed by Caltrans and funded by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and state and federal funding.

More information about the project can be found here.
