San Mateo 101 Express Lanes has launched Express Yourself, a new campaign that allows you to customize your travels, unleashing a better quality of life for YOU.

This campaign aims to ensure that all travelers benefit from available discount programs, making their future express lanes trips more affordable, or even free.

The Secret? FasTrak® Flex!

There are multiple travelers that are eligible to ride for free with FasTrak® Flex:

  • Families and Carpools with 3+ riders (including kids)
  • Full, 2-seat vehicles
  • Vanpools
  • Motorcycles
  • Transit buses

Or at a 50% discount:

Solo drivers pay full price, so grab a friend to tag along!

Don’t get a ticket! You MUST have a valid FasTrak® account with a FasTrak® Flex toll tag or FasTrak® CAV toll tag displayed in the vehicle to avoid violation fines and penalties.

Eligible community members can also enroll in the Community Transportation Benefits Program to get $100 credit on a FasTrak Flex toll tag or Clipper Card. Learn more about this program here.

About the Transportation Authority (TA): Created to administer Measure A, San Mateo County’s ½ cent sales tax, the TA provides funding for transportation projects and programs in San Mateo County. In 2004, more than 75 percent of San Mateo County voters reauthorize Measure A for an additional 25 years. In 2018, voters approved Measure W, the San Mateo County Congestion Relief Plan an additional ½ cent sales tax. The TA will administer half the revenue of Measure W and the San Mateo County Transit District will administer the other half to fund and implement the Congestion Relief Plan.
