The shuttles funded by Measure A are among the county’s most successful transit programs. The TA began funding Caltrain shuttles in 2002. These shuttles fill a critical gap in the transportation infrastructure by providing quick, convenient service between work sites and Caltrain stations â making that vital link for 1,000 daily riders on 11 shuttle routes.
The shuttles also receive funds from a combination of sources, including the City/County Association of Governments, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, San Mateo County cities and employers.
Four percent of the sales tax revenues from the reauthorized measure are expected to generate $60 million over the 25-year life of the measure to support shuttles.
